Website Builder: Website Builder Elements
This document describes the primary elements available in the website builder, along with their functions and a brief explanation of their purposes. It serves as an introductory guide to understanding the features and possibilities of the website builder and how to use them effectively.
The website builder has an organized structure that simplifies the process of creating and managing websites. Its interface is divided into two main sections: the left panel and the right visual editor.
Left Panel: Management Tools
The left side of the website builder contains essential management tools for creating, editing, saving, and publishing your website. These tools include navigation elements, page management options, and buttons for controlling your workflow. Below is a breakdown of its key sections:
1. Main Navigation and Management Tools The first section features icons essential for website creation:
* Sections: A library of pre-designed blocks ready for quick website assembly.
* Global Styles: Tools for setting styles, such as fonts and colors, that apply globally across the site, including automated pages like blogs and product listings.
* Project Pages Management: Options to add new pages or switch between existing ones.
2. Additionally, the Home Button is located here, providing a quick return to the main Hitme dashboard.
3. Device View Modes This section allows you to toggle between desktop, tablet, and phone views of your website. This functionality helps you visualize and adjust the site’s presentation for different devices, ensuring responsiveness and usability.
4. Undo and Redo Actions Below the device view options are buttons to undo or redo recent changes. These tools are particularly helpful if you make an accidental change or want to revert to a previous state.
5. Save and Publish Buttons At the bottom of the left panel are the buttons for saving and publishing your work:
* Save Button: A dark grey button with a disk icon that saves your progress without publishing. Use this frequently to prevent data loss while working on changes you’re not ready to finalize.
* Publish Button: An orange button with an upward arrow that saves your changes and publishes them simultaneously. Once published, the updates will appear on your live website.
Right Panel: Visual Editor
The right side of the website builder is the visual editor, where you manage and edit the content of your website. This section is used to add, arrange, and customize block sections. It serves as the primary workspace for designing and modifying your website layout.
The visual editor enables you to drag and drop sections, edit content directly within blocks, and fine-tune the presentation of your website. This intuitive interface makes the process of website creation straightforward and user-friendly.
