How to Display Blog Posts

Website Builder: How to Display Blog Posts

Displaying blog posts on your website is a straightforward process. Here’s how you can do it and customize it to suit your needs:

Adding a Blog Section

To display posts from your blog, switch to editing mode and add a new section from the “Blog” category. Once added, the displayed posts can be tailored to your preferences. For further adjustments, switch to styling mode. In styling mode, you can modify the visible aspects of the blog section and customize the details shown for each post.

Post Limitations

You can control which posts are displayed in each section. For example, you might choose to show posts from a specific category or highlight a particular post. The process of selecting a category or post is simplified—you can either set a specific category or post ID or use the search button to find and select the desired posts or categories.

Post List Customization

Based on your chosen limitations, you can configure how posts are displayed:

* Newest Posts: Show the most recently added posts.

* Featured Posts: Display only posts marked as favorites.

* Random Posts: Show posts in a random order, giving visitors a unique experience each time they refresh the page.

Display Type Options

The display type selector lets you choose how posts appear on your site:

* Simple Display: Posts are shown as requested in a static format.

* Carousel: Posts are displayed in a sliding carousel that loops through your list, with new posts visible as users slide through.

Display Details

You can refine how posts are presented by customizing elements such as content, image alignment, comments, and visual effects like shadows. However, note that the “image side” option may not always match your expectations due to automatic adjustments made for optimal display on various device screens. If the preview doesn’t look ideal on a smaller screen, rest assured that posts will look great on larger devices.

Posts Per Row and Total Post Limits

* Posts Per Row: In simple mode, you can choose how many posts are displayed per row. This adjustment updates the live view automatically, so you can see how the posts will look with different row settings.

* Total Post Limit: You can also set the maximum number of posts displayed in each section.

These customization options make it easy to create a blog section that aligns perfectly with your website’s design and functionality.
